Are you just starting a new business because this is for you? Or are you helping someone get started, if so share this with them!
HOW EXCITING!! Starting a business is so much fun and SO exciting.
There are so many things you can do to set yourself up for success when you get started with a company. No matter if you are starting a business or a hobby you need to figure out what your goals are. What is your money goal? How much time are you willing to invest to get to that money goal OR how much time do you have to invest? If you are new to direct sales or Network marketing I would connect with the person that helped you start OR the person that is your leader to see if your money expectation will be able to be met with your time expectation. That is KEY.
Something else is that you will want to carve out time to learn, reach out, and get uncomfortable. You are likely going to hear the word no! Luckily for you that just means Next Opportunity and you can look at that no as planting a seed!
Regardless of what you sell scheduling and having a launch of some kind is the perfect way to introduce, invite and share what you are doing. Some products and companies an online launch might make sense and for other companies a in person might make more sense if you need people to see, touch, taste, feel. You might even want to do both to really get the word out depending on where your network is!
You will also want to make a list of your network. You can print off your friends list on facebook (youtube how to) and use that for guidance when thinking about who your most supportive friends and family will be. You can also use tools like a memory jogger to help you with getting started. This list will also help you when you are chatting with people to keep track of conversations and who is interested.
Setting some deadlines for yourself will also make this feel like more of a business and will give yourself some accountability.
I would ensure you also know what your companies fast start, quick start, type program so you know what to expect, you know what money is on the table (even if you are doing for a hobby, who doesn’t love free money) and that you have a plan to get there.
Something else that you want to know is how do you make money. No matter if you are doing this just to help pay for your products or you are looking to build a business why not know how you make money so that you can focus on those areas.
Setting some deadlines for yourself will also make this feel like more of a business and will give yourself some accountability. No matter what pace you want to move at get your goals written down and deadlines for yourself set up!
Remember that farms don’t grow over night so when starting anything it’s important to plant your seeds. The more seeds you plant the more your farm/crop will flourish.
You can do this! You can find success! You are one conversation away from helping to change someone’s life with your gift or opportunity!
